A harsh but fair reading. I don’t think burning books is ever justified (and will probably edit this post to make that more clear.) OTOH I probably agree with something like Dave Hickey’s writing on Mapplethorpe that sometimes censors can inadvertently take art as a force in life and culture more seriously than those who appreciate it.
